Due to the ongoing wars between Sarracennia and their Southwest neighbors the Qyo Empire, Mothsteeds have become an unfortunate consumable necessity for defense against the persecuting power of the Qyo Canyon Cult State. Nevertheless, the good people across Sarracennia place the mighty Moth above their own power. As with the death of a tree, the passing of Mothsteeds is a traumatic event, one that brings the people together to see their mighty wings held high in a visual display, one last time. If a Kylyy rider dies, there remains a chance that their brainseed may be replanted, creating a similar stalk though with a great deal of cultivation and time. The passing of a Mothsteed, however, is the passing of a celestial guardian, one very important to the Sarracennian people.
